Production Quick Tip of the Week #21
Vocals play such a huge part in most songs & it's important to make sure they are sitting just right in the mix.
One thing to look out for is the "boxiness" that you hear in a lot of natural vocals. You will have to search for it, but there's usually some "boxiness" worth cutting somewhere between 450Hz & 900Hz.
Remember each voice, recoding, & song is different, so it may not be the same every time. Sometimes 800-900 may be way too high & sometimes 450z may be way too low. Use your ears! Remember you can usually achieve more with cutting that boosting in a lot of cases too!
Have a productive week, Be Different. Be Dope.
